I just received these photos from member "seavisionburma" today. His message was:
Bill, Just received this email from Julia, a postgrad wildlife research scientist from the UK who spent a couple of months in Cambodia....same place I went to teach the rangers/soldiers in December... Jeff La Valette Archipelago Consulting Ltd BEAST wildlife surveillance technology Just to give you some background. Jeff works in the wildlife photography industry and has doen work for Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. He's the real deal... travels to the jungles and lives there to do his film work. Jeff came over last summer to visit us here in PA and he's an amazing guy. Great photos! a regular leopard fest! Beautiful woods too, so dry! (It's been a long winter here on the coast) Nice canid too we often tend to forget about all the cool southern hemisphere and tropical canids.

trapper, none from my area unless I go to the zoo

Bill - thanks for posting these...my ftp server and I had several disagreements last week, not assisted by the shocking dial-up I am subjected to here.
Thanks for everyone's comments - very encouraging. Just a note that the original 3 images Bill kindly posted are accredited to Julia Chase-Grey/WWF Cambodia and as such normal copyright/reproductions etc apply. Thought I might as well follow with 2 images taken in the same forest when I was up there teaching in December. For a bit of background, Srepok Wilderness Area is around 400,000 sq km in total area, with a core conservation zone of about 100,000 sk km. It is right on the far eastern border, if you cross the Srepok River and head about 2 miles east you end up in Vietnam. Plenty of snakes there....

Great cat pictures. I did notice the same as with our cougars, as the top of the food chain it is not bothered or even looks at the camera when passing. It knows the camera is there but they ignore it as not being a threat.
The same is not true with other animals, specially ones in the dog family, they are always aware of the camera and seem to check them out. Part of survival I think.
