I kept getting this error code on my s600.So i took a back board off a parts s600 to see if i could fix the problem, this replaced the memory stick holder.
Well, i fired up the camera and still have the code. Anyone have any other ideas it could be before i go and take another rear board off a parts cam?
Thanks

Also tried different sticks, and initialized the cam several times.

Sorry for the late reply. Your error code is a memory stick error code. If you haven't tried other memory cards to see if they get the same results, just try rubbing the memory card contacts with a pencil eraser for 30 seconds or so. An improperly formatted memory card can be another cause for the error code. Also what size memory does your memory card have ? I have had trouble with several memory sticks larger than 2gb in the S600.

DDW, I tried everything you suggested. I went from 256- 2 g sticks, same problem.
I did a little more investigating online. It seems this can be a problem with sonys. I replaced the back lcd/memory stick board 2 times, still a problem. One answer was to change the main board and the problem will go away. Well when you do that, you have to match the lens assembly so there will be no blurry pictures at night. Looks like this will be a parts cam. wink.gif
