Introduction
The PixController UndercoverEye™ Surveillance Camera System is an
unattended Ground Hog video surveillance system specifically designed for
unattended covert outdoor surveillance of targets ranging from, but
not limited to marijuana fields, drug/meth labs, metal theft
including copper theft, illegal dumping,
graffiti, vandalism, illegal ATV riders, and monitoring remote locations. The
PixController UndercoverEye™ system can work with various video
cameras such a Bullet cameras, Day Color/Night IR video cameras, or
covert pinhole video cameras to capture the targeted area. There is
also a removable sound MIC to record sound for applications allowing
this feature. Video
from the camera are recorded on the UndercoverEye™ base unit a Mini DVR (Digital Video Recording)
tape-less recording system. The video is stored on a CompactFlash
media card in MPEG4 format. The UndercoverEye™ base unit is a Pelican weather
resistant case, which can be buried in the ground for covert
applications.
The UndercoverEye™ system utilizes advanced battery
savings sleep mode whereby its passive infrared, wireless motion
detector (PIR) automatically switches the UndercoverEye™ system from
sleep mode to active mode when someone walks into the target area.
This mode will enable the UndercoverEye™ system to be deployed
unattended for long periods of time. The UndercoverEye™ system also
comes with a wireless keyfab option for manually triggering the base
recording unit for various surveillance setups/operations.
This system is very simple to use and fast to
deploy. A single person can deploy UndercoverEye™ giving audible
feedback from sensors triggers during setup. The user can adjust how
the UndercoverEye™ system will operate by easy to use DIP Switches
along with graphical instructions. Adjustable settings include
recording times, day only – night only – 24 hour use, and delays
between recording.
Custom options available to support external
devices, video cameras, and other items you may want to interface.
