No cables are needed! Photo flash detection is done by a "Photo Flash Detector" on the board!

Our new slave flash controller will let you capture bright and brilliant night photos with the addition of another flash unit. Our controller is extremely power efficient and will increase flash unit battery life by only keeping the flash powered at night. The new controller can work as a remote slave flash, or in the same case as your trial camera. It can also see IR light and be used as an IR remote slave flash. With a learning mode you can teach our controller how many pre-flashes your digital camera has, so any digital camera can be used with our controller!

This system can also be build into a separate case and be used as a remote slave flash. It will detect out to about 100 feet, and it can see IR light too. All you need to do is place an IR filter over the photo flash and you are ready to go.

Comes with a 6 month Warranty

Exclusive Photo Flash Learning Mode

DIP switch 1 sets up the flash learning mode. This feature, when in On position, is used to teach the Slave Flash controller board how many pre-flashes your camera has. This is needed so that the Slave Flash controller can send off the slave flash on the last pre-flash. This feature is unique to the PixController Slave Flash unit! When you boot up your PixController Slave Flash board with Learning Mode "On" the green diagnostic LED will blink 6 times letting you know that the board is going into Learning Mode. At this point you need to point your camera towards the Photo Flash detector on the board and take a photo with flash. The PixController Slave Flash board will then blink back the number of pre-flashes your camera has. This number will be stored in memory on the PixController Slave Flash board until you use Learning Mode again. After this is set power the board down and turn Learning Mode to "Off". Any time you change the manufacture or model of camera you plan to use you will need to use the Learning Mode feature to teach the pre-flash sequence.
