About Raptor Cellular Wi-Fi PC Setup Remote Control Cellular Plans Accessories Photos  Applications

Introduction

Probably the biggest factor in choosing a cellular system is the fees involved in sending photos. Competitive systems charge between $150 to over $200 per month for unlimited or 1000 photos a month plans. These plans are also contract based, which means when you are not using your system you will be paying for this data service. The Raptor Cellular systems were specifically designed with data plans in mind. We understand the needs of customers since we were the first company to manufacture and market a cellular motion-activated camera system.

The Raptor Cellular system include and unlocked GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) cellular radio. Raptor Cellular Systems allow you to most world-wide GSM-GPRS carriers. The main GSM carrier in the USA is AT&T. AT&T offer data contracts and pre-paid data plans.

You will need to purchase a SIM card or Subscriber Identity Module for your GSM cellular provider. SIM cards are generally sold in a credit card sized package in which you pop out the SIM card and activate it. Once activated the SIM card securely stores the service-subscriber key (IMSI) used to identify a subscriber when accessing the cellular network.

 AT&T offers several data plans from Pay-as-you-go no contract plans to annual contract data plans. Currently there are three data plan options you can purchase for AT&T pre-paid SIM cards:
 
  • 10 Mb data ($5.00) – will let you transmit about 215 Raptor Photos
  • 100 Mb data ($15.00) – will let you transmit about 2,180 Raptor Photos
  • 500 Mb data ($25.00) – will let you transmit about 10,900 Raptor Photos

Users can purchase these data plans on a month-by-month basis or setup the account to automatically refill the data plan each month.

Free Pre-Paid AT&T SIM Card

 PixController, Inc. will provide any USA customers with a free AT&T pre-paid SIM card and setup and AT&T account in the customers name free of charge. We will also pre-program in any email/cell phone numbers and test the system fully before shipping. We will provide the customer with the login information into their AT&T pre-paid on-line account so they can manage and change the account.
