Video Light Board
Product Specs
Introduction
The Video Light board has several connections you need to be aware of
before using the board.
J1 "BAT" connector - This is where you connect your 6V power
supply. This MUST be a 6V supply, and must be a Sealed Lead Acid battery
(Gel Cell) in order produce the current needed to drive the 12V 20W halogen
light bulb. Use your supplied red/black wire to connect the power to your
board. Connect the red to the +6V and the black to the ground of the
6V supply.
Test Push Button - The
"TEST" Push Button is a momentary "push button" that
will test your video light. When pressed it will light the bulb. This is a
great way to test your video light, and to test the battery.
J3 "RUN" connector - The
"RUN" connector is where you plug your white/black cable into,
and is where you connect these wires to a controlling device such as your PixController
board. Connect this to the external light
port of your PixController board. Simply connect the white wire to the
white wire of your flash cable from your PixController board, and connect
the black to the black wire from your flash cable of your PixController
board. You can also connect this to other control devices. This is an
active "low" or "pull to ground" active port. If you
connect pin 1 and 2 of J3 the light will light up.
