LANC/ACC Terminal
- Why
does my red LED blink after the 1 1/2 minute warm up?
This red LED blinking indicates that
Universal board does not see that attached camcorder or
digital camera through the 2.5mm cable. This can be a
couple of things. First off did you make the solder
jumpers on J1 and J7? If not you need to read how to configure
the 2.5mm stereo port. If
that is not the issue it may be that your 2.5mm cable is
not plugged in tightly on the Universal board 2.5mm
connector, or the LANC/ACC Terminal port on your camcorder
or digital camera.

RS-232
- Why
won't my camera take a photo? The
most common mistake people make when attaching a camera to
the RS-232 board is that they do not configure
the 2.5mm stereo port. For
Olympus cameras such as the D-340R and D-360L you will
need to solder Jumpers: J3, J5, J9. If you do not have one
of these cameras and still have this issue it may be that
your RS-232 digital camera is either not on our list, or
it is one not tested and does not follow the RS-232 spec.
If this is the case please contact us so you can return
your board for a refund. Note, if you do this the board
must be less than 1 month old and not have any physical
damage/modifications to it.
