Microphone
Step 1
The first step in this project is to remove the small holding tab
located on the bottom of the microphone. The best way to do this it
to take a pair of wire cutters and simply cut it off as shown below.

Step 2
The next step is to drill 2 holes in the bottom of your case (the
example shown here is a Pelican 1300 case). Drill a hole to mount
the microphone at the bottom front of your case (shown below). Drill
a 7/16" hole for mounting the microphone. You can use some
Marine GOOP to secure the microphone in place. Next drill a
5/16" hole on the bottom of your case to run the 3.5mm stereo
cable into the interior of your case. Glue a rubber washer to over
the hole to keep out the moisture with Marine GOOP.



Step 3
The last step is to run the cable to your camcorders external
microphone jack as shown below. Now you are ready to record sound
along with your videos!
